Transgender Discrimination in a Workplace - Thus, where is the Fairness?

Well Hello There...:)

Hola Everyone! I hope you guys had an awesome 'kick-yes' day today. Well seems that this is my first time doing blogging and obviously I have totally 'no idea' on how to blog..so to tell the truth I'm bit nervous, but I told myself "hey come on! look at the positive side ;)" because normally when I have something to share regarding certain issues or topic what I most likely do is share or discuss among my friend via WhatsApp group chat or upon our meet up, and never once did I thought to discuss it through blogging, but hey!! Now everything's change yawww ;) I'm blogging hahaha...and all this thanks to Ms.diana cause giving me and the rest the opportunity to do so and perhaps this is something new for me but might not be new for the rest.

So where shall I begin with..ermm oh yah! perhaps I can share with you guys about my thoughts regarding videos that been upload and post by my Facebook friend on his Facebook Wall few months back and with caption something like - "such a disgrace". The caption itself does snap me for awhile so due to the 'I want to know' I then click on the video and watch it. Thus, its actually a documentary about the transgender. For thoes who might have been thinking what is a transgender according to the belong to 2010, transgender means someone whose gender different from the one they were given when they were born. It's simply means that man change to women and women change to man and this may include in changing their names, their dress and also to the extend by going through medical surgery by changing their sex.

Its quite interesting and it does catch my attention upon watching it as it reminds me of my friend who is also a transgender.  I would say its totally change my perception about the transgender people throughout the 45 minutes of the documentary. normally people will have a stereotype or bad impression on these community the transgender like saying they are disgrace and more harsh thing to add,but what I can concluded is that upon watching this documentary its actually helps the transgender to open up themselves in public by sharing their personal stories, also on how they have to face the society who look down on them especially during working time whereby discrimination on workplace and their difficulties to be accepted by their family and friends and in the end how some of them  manage to face everything positively.  I know its not easy for them as they need millions and millions of courage and support to come out from their closet. The question is where is the fairness?!

During my diploma days, I got to know this friend of mine..initially 'she' was born as a man..but she told me that at the age of 21 'she' made a decision to undergo a massive surgery in Thailand that is changing sex gender. So by the time I know her  she was 24, and at that moment she already change her gender to female. I remember I did  asked her what makes her not to think twice before undergo the surgery cause once you change it won't be the same ..she smiled and told me she wants to be happy be herself and to gain confident out of it. To cut it short,  during our diploma time we have to attend practical cooking class 2 times a week, so during working in a kitchen I'v notice that the guys especially ( nah..not being judgemental...but guys will always be guys) would make fun of her..mimics the way she walks and the way she speak..and then the rest of them will laughed about it.  But one thing for sure I salute that friend of mine cause she's not easily to get angry but smile instead. But for me personally the guys are way too much being disrespectful towards her. At that point I did think how will she handle things in future especially during working time later on.

So time flies, we still keep in touch once a while will meet each other and we will just talk over the coffee. So there is a point of time when she told me that working is not been easy for her but she try to adapt with it..cause she works in the kitchen..people at certain point still tend to make fun of her by giving or calling her with nicknames..and being bullied sometimes is a common thing she said. It's a sad thing cause I never thought that people who is educated and knowledgeable still have low values with their morals and don't practice the mutual respect between one another. So you guys think it's ethical?  Nah....not for me.

I know that the transgender are beyond our norm. But hey look at the positive side...instead of making fun of them or demoralised their spirits of working why not we tend to look at their ability and their capabilities after all they are still human being ..cause for me that's more important rather than being a nosy..just being curious but what do they get in return after mocking or making fun the transgender? Satisfaction?  Power? Hahaha..but in my opinion this kinda people they actually have the low self esteem. Cause they thought by demoralised others in public they gain the achievement and made them feel great but nah its just outrageous seriously. After all who are we to judge others. If discrimination still going on for this community howww yawww howw they will gain their confidence level to face and live as pernormal.. put urself in their shoes..;) do you want to be treated the same way? Of cause not right?  Sooo....in my opinion. .. no matter what..respect is most important. Because respect is just like a two-way street..if you want to get it, you have got to give it.

* heee..I did told her that if I was in her situation perhaps I will give that person who making fun of me not one but TWO goooddd tight slap...just a wake up call for them! :)) cause one slap just not enough to wake them up ;p *
